Currency
The sol (S/) is the official currency of Peru.
Approximately 1 USD = 3.65 soles. Most places in Peru accept credit cards, but it’s useful to carry some cash in soles. U.S. dollars are also accepted at many establishments. Currency can be exchanged at banks and exchange houses, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and until noon on Saturdays.

Transport
Traffic in Lima can be challenging due to peak hours, especially from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Taxis in Peru do not use meters, so it’s recommended to use reliable taxi services like Uber, Cabify, or Directo.
